Welcome to The Wonder Club!

Here at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate, we believe wholeheartedly in the power of “wonder.” That’s why it’s one of our six core values. We love it so much we created an entire club just to encourage young learners and their families to follow their curiosity! Check out our 2025 spring season of family workshops. 

The cost per class is $5 for TCMU Members (adult or child), and $20 for non-members (adult or child), which includes admission to the museum and all-day play. Advanced registration is required for both adults and children. Classes are non-refundable. All children must be accompanied by an adult to the class.

Bricks & Beyond:

LEGO Building Fun!

February 22, 10AM

Through hands-on activities and challenges guided by experts from Bricks & Minifigs, caregivers and children will work together to unleash their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork while constructing awe-inspiring structures to take home!

Painting Cakes:

Thiebaud-Inspired Art 

March 1, 10AM

Parents and children will explore the art of Wayne Thiebaud, the iconic American artist famous for his midcentury paintings of cakes, pies, and candies! In this one-hour class, families will learn watercolor techniques to create a vibrant, three-dimensional cake. Led by Lauren Runion of Yellowbobbypins, it’s a deliciously fun way to get creative—no baking required!

The Great Frosting Frenzy

April 19, 10AM

Join Village Bakes for a hands-on cake decorating adventure where parents and children team up to stack, frost, and decorate their own mini cakes! Discover how everyday fruits and veggies can create vibrant, natural colors while learning techniques from Dr. Katie Sino. This fun-filled class inspires creativity, confidence, and deliciously sweet memories for the whole family!

Afternoon Tea Etiquette

Ready for a tea party like no other? Join us for a fun, hands-on class where you’ll learn how to sip tea, munch on tasty treats, and master the art of good manners! You’ll discover the secret to being a tea party pro. Led by Rita Santana, Etiquette Expert and Founder of The Good Gatherings Co., this class makes manners fun and tea time even sweeter!

A STEM Adventure

Get ready to build, code, and learn with RoboThink’s awesome robotics kits! In this action-packed class, families will dive into the exciting world of STEM, creating robots and exploring cool engineering concepts that are out of this world. While they won’t be taking home their robots, they’ll leave with tons of fun ideas and info on where to get their very own!

Build, Create, Imagine! 🚀 Join our Lego Building Class and bring epic creations to life—castles, pirate ships, space scenes, and more! With hands-on guidance and endless bricks, the only limit is your imagination. Hosted by Bricks & Minifigs Greenville, the ultimate Lego destination!

Where should I park?
What is the age requirement for Wonder Club?
  • Wonder Club is for children ages 5-12. 
Can I drop my child off?
  • Adults are required to stay with their children at all times.
  • Please plan to stay with your child(ren) for the duration of their visit.  
Can my family play in the museum before and after the Wonder Club workshop?
  • Admission is included in the cost of Wonder Club entry.
