GREENVILLEThe Children’s Musuem of the Upstate is throwing a special birthday party for a boy today.

GREENVILLEDetermination and creativity was put on display Friday by young people in Greenville.

“Really, really cool,” said Paige Singleton, the 9-year-old creator of Paige’s Playful Scrunchies.

Children between the ages of 9 and 17 competed to have a product they made, available for purchase at the Children’s Museum of the Upstate.

GREENVILLETCMU’s newest permanent exhibit is one you’re not gonna want to miss! Marsh Music officially opened to the public Saturday, September 16th. Remember the noisiest room in the museum? Downstairs, it was a room with its’ own door. Full of various instruments, children of all ages enjoyed making music.

GREENVILLEBest of the Upstate awards gala was held Friday, July 21 at the Greenville Convention Center.

More than 600 people attended the gala event, as awards were announced in 195 different categories, honoring service providers, restaurants, retailers and more. The Children’s Museum of the Upstate was named Best Museum for 2023.

SPARTANBURGThe Children’s Museum of the Upstate was selected to present research on play-based learning at an international conference. Research on The Children’s Museum of the Upstate-Spartanburg’s Pop-Up Classrooms was presented at the 2023 International Play Association World Conference in Glasgow, Scotland from June 6-9.
